Duties & Chores

OUR REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

  1. Must believe in yourself to stay sober on a daily basis.
    • This is a struggle for most of us.
  2. You must be sober for at least 14 days prior to entering the Garden Estates Sanctuary.
  3. You will be tested prior to entering the Garden Estates so do not come dirty.
    • Failure to take a drug and alcohol test is a rejection to the facility.
  4. You must have a sponsor already available for you to work with
    • We will need their
      1. name
      2. phone number
      3. number of years sober
  5. You must be willing to conduct chores and duties at the home
    • Take Direction from the House Captain or Director or the Administrator at the home for Chores, Changes in Chores, Changes in the Schedules of the Chores Types of Chores:
      1. Cleaning your area
      2. Cleaning the Fridge regularly on a weekly basis of your belongings
      3. Clean the Bathrooms
      4. Clean Floors Sweep & Mop
      5. Gardening | Landscaping requirements
      6. Cleaning the Gutters on the property
      7. Cleaning the Kitchen Area
      8. Or Chores assigned for that week
    • Have or create a resume with all of your work experience & your skills.
      1. If you don’t have a resume, you will have 5 days to create your resume in our office
    • You must be actively
      1. Searching for a job online, or at the EDD labor center, or
      2. Go to the office in the home to get job training or skills or
      3. You must be going to EDD Labor board to find a job for in your field
      4. Go to your job on a regular basis
      5. Reasons for you losing your job must be documented
